‘It’s not an easy job raising clocks,’ the clockmaker tells us, ‘because little clocks only know three times: playtime, mealtime, and nap time!’ But what is the best time?

Shortlist for the 2017 ‘The Reader’ Literary Awards – Category: Illustrated children’s book
It’s hard to learn to tell the time. It’s even harder to get clocks to tell it. In this new book by the two creators, time and the relationship between the teacher and his pupils are presented from a different perspective. Tick-Tock is a hilarious fairy tale with lively illustrations for all hours! For the hours that pass slowly and those that fly by and never return. But also for that time we spend together, young and old, the most beautiful, the most unique of all! In Tick-Tock, children will read an original story about how time differs from place to place, but also about how quickly time flies. Above all, however, reading the book will help young readers better understand the true value of time in our lives, which is none other than the moments when young and old are together. That is the best time!

"...We read the book many times from start to finish, from the front cover to the back cover. Even the inside cover inspired us, because that’s what books that inspire you are like. – Christina Konstantoudaki, Tovivlio.net

– Apostolos Pappos, Elniplex.com

"...The witty one-liners and jokes in this book entertain young readers because they recognise themselves in the characters. They entertain us too, as we reminisce about our own school days. If we read more carefully, we will find that this charming story is aimed at two different audiences, children and adults, and that it is by no means simplistic..."

– Mariza Decastro, The Reader

"...A very beautiful book that, with plenty of imagination, humour and vibrant colours, talks to children about time. This abstract concept, which is so at odds with the absolute present that pre-school children experience as its sole dimension."

– Angeliki Efstathiou, Children’s Books Blog
