"...Brand new, wonderful, tender, the new book from Ikaros Publishing is called _Zog_ and has come to enchant us!"
– Alexandra Papadaki, Allyou.gr"...The story of Zog, the small but slender and kind-hearted dragon, is entertaining with lively and rich illustrations! The size of the book is something that wins you over because it fills a child’s eyes with colours and pictures! Without many words, just a few well-chosen ones, the author manages to get the message across to the child!"
– Mama's 'n' Papa's Blog"...An incredible story full of patience, perseverance, courage and unexpected twists. Decisions, breaking down stereotypes and plenty of trials. Just like real life, in other words, where you need faith and determination as you chase your dreams. And whether you’re a dragon… or a princess or a knight."
– Eleni Betinaki, Saturday’s Fairy Tales"...Yet another fantastic story from the duo who know how to create unique children’s books. [...] But what will happen when the knight Sezenia arrives and… demands to save and marry Margaritarea? The incredible story of Zog, Pearl and Sezenia provokes laughter, applause and excitement for its unpredictable ending."
– Red Fox"...The illustrations, which I consider to be one of the book’s strongest points, immediately won over my little daughter, who identified with the little dragon! The message comes across to the child easily, simply and clearly!"
– Maria Liontou, Mommy Jammi"...Similarly, in Julia Donaldson’s *Zog*, illustrated by Alex Scheffler, Zog is also a pupil, but a naughty one. Naughty because he can’t fly, naughty because he can’t roar, naughty because he can’t breathe fire or hunt. In his clumsy attempts, he always gets hurt, but every time a girl appears to help him: she is, of course, a princess. Thus, being different is rewarded."
– Konstantinos Hatzinikolaou, Kathimerini"...Scheffler’s distinctive illustrations are, as always, outstanding, full of colour and interesting details. Donaldson’s text, with its rhyming scheme, is short and easy to understand, and can be read easily by the child themselves."
– Magda Zindrou, Every Day Parents"...The incredible story created by this unbeatable duo provokes laughter and excitement from start to its unpredictable finish. It is full of wit, colour and imagination."
– Liana Denezaki, The Magical World of Children’s Books"...This fairy tale has all the 'ingredients' to be called a classic! It has dragons, it has a princess, and it has a knight. And yet, it is a subversive fairy tale that goes against the stereotypes, which dictate that the dragon must be evil, the knight must rescue the princess from his clutches and ultimately marry her. Of course, in the end everyone lived happily ever after, and we even better!"
– Angeliki Efstathiou, Children’s Books Blog"With Donaldson’s rhyming text and Scheffler’s distinctive illustrations, it’s impossible not to love it, and not to read it again and again and again..."
– Two Boys and Hope Blog"...A wonderful and tender book from Ikaros Publications that has come to stay in our hearts and overturn everything we believed about dragons, princesses, knights and the rest, before we’ve even got to know them and see them for what they really are – special and unique! Because let’s be honest – who really wants to be a princess or a knight when there are so many wonderful things out there to chase after?”
– Pepi Nikolopoulou, Deltamoms.grAxel Scheffler
