The Accidentals

From the author of the award-winning novel Still born

The wandering protagonists of these eight short stories are forced off course and into unfamiliar, strange territories. Like disoriented albatrosses. A girl meets her estranged—for mysterious reasons—ailing uncle after years. A dark force threatens a family retreating to the countryside amid Covid. A couple inhabits a terrifying world where it is better to sleep. A man tries to stave off marital boredom by embarking on a dangerous temporal experiment. A failed actor moves into the home of a now-famous former classmate, hoping for a change of fortune.

An uncanny and dark literary universe whose heroes confront their fears and limits in an attempt to find their way back.
