Takis Dimopoulos
He was born in 1898 in Pyrgos, Elis. He studied classical literature, philosophy and education (Faculty of Philosophy) at the University of Athens, whilst also studying French and German literature. He worked as a secondary school teacher in secondary schools in Crete, Elis and Athens. He was a member of the Association of Greek Writers and contributed to the journals Anglo-Hellenic Review, Nea Estia, Nea Skepsi and Parnassos, as well as the newspapers Avgi tou Pyrgou, I Kathimerini, Neologos and Patris. As a writer, he focused on essays, prose and poetry. In his academic work, he addressed issues of aesthetics and philosophy in literature, particularly with regard to the poetry of Angelos Sikelianos, with whom he shared a personal and family friendship. He passed away in 1981 in Athens.
