To mark the 70th anniversary of December 1944, Petros St. Makris-Staikos has chosen to translate and present four texts unknown to the non-historian reader:
John Melior Stevens, Plan-Proposal to prevent the seizure of power in Greece by the EAM-ELAS, upon the end of the Axis occupation.
23rd Armoured Brigade, Operations in Greece.
Vice-Admiral Dimitrios Oikonomou, Regarding the route of the ELAS hostage convoy, which was liberated in the village of Blessia-Amigdalies.
Minutes of the conference with representatives of the Central Committee of the EAM, at the Headquarters of the Land Forces and the Military Liaison in Greece (8–11 January 1944).
The four texts presented in this book shed light on critical aspects of the December events that remain a matter of controversy.
