Nicoletta Verna
Nicoletta Verna was born in Forlì in 1976. She currently lives in Florence, where she works as an editor for one of Italy's major publishing houses. She has taught Communication Theory and Techniques at university departments and institutes. Her debut novel, Il valore affettivo, was honored with the Severino Cesari First Novel Prize. In 2025, she published her first young adult book, L’inverno delle stelle. Her novel (The Glass Days, 2024)—forthcoming in 30 countries—was awarded both the European Union Prize for Literature and the Manzoni Prize for Historical Fiction in 2025.
