Metamorphoses of Cities

-
The book ‘Metamorphoses of Cities’ is an anthology of poems from the complete poetic works of Michalis Pieris. A common theme runs through the selection of poems: the experiential and literary connection with various cities around the world, where the poet lived for a time or simply visited. Alongside the ‘city’ poems the selection also includes several poems on related themes, such as wandering, migration, exile, the journey of acclimatisation to a foreign land, as well as the return (real, dreamlike or poetic) to one’s homeland. The book has already been translated into Russian, French and Italian.
