Zontanina
The literary debut of a gifted young author who introduces us to a world filled with truth, tenderness, and saving humor.
A collection of sixteen short stories oscillating between an irretrievably lost past and an unfamiliar, uncanny future. A bittersweet literary realm, built at times from lived memories and at others sharing a wall with the fantastical or the surreal. Kostas, Ersi, Uncle Themis, Marko, Vangelis: everyday, outcast, failed, and eccentric characters who surrender to their small misfortunes and perishable passions. The common denominator in every story is a lucid authorial vision that,no matter how tight the vise grips, never loses its wry wit and profound humanity.
