Stavroula Pagona

Author

Stavroula Pagona was born in Katerini in 1980. She studied Advertising and Public Relations at Panteion University and worked as a scriptwriter for advertising agencies in Athens and Thessaloniki.
As a lyricist, she has collaborated with leading composers and performers, whilst her short stories and plays have won awards in competitions. In 2017, she was honoured by the Women’s Literary Society for her collection of 25 poems for primary school children. She has written the children’s books Mission TERATEX (Ellinoekdotiki, 2018), The Adventures of Voula in the Red Book (Ellinoekdotiki, 2019), Guardian Angel (Ellinodiktiki, 2020), and has written the lyrics for the 12 children’s songs included on the CD The Island of Imagination (Panik Records, 2019). Her love for young people, travel, open horizons and her belief that you always learn best through play inspired her to co-found the non-profit organisation You in Europe, where, as a youth advisor, she designs and implements mobility and lifelong learning programmes for young people across Europe. She lives in Chalkidiki with her family and believes that life is beautiful because it has given her all of the above, plus Gianni Rodari’s books, starry nights and cherry ice cream!
