Nina Kokkalidou

Nina Kokkalidou-Nahmia was born in Athens, in Plaka. She has written texts, speeches, poems and lyrics from time to time (many of the latter have been set to music). For four years, she presented a spoken-word programme on state radio entitled ‘Aifnidia episkepsi’ (Sudden Visit). In 1987, on the occasion of her receiving an award from the Delphic Epic Games for her poem “In memoriam”, she published her first collection of poetry, “Courtyard in the Open”. In 1996, she published the book "Reina Gilberta". She has been a long-standing contributor to the magazine Telera, where she writes a weekly satirical column entitled "Efrixon" in prose or verse. Her writings have been published in various publications.
