Once upon a time, there was a boy who found himself on the moon one day and couldn’t get back. But he wasn’t alone... What will the boy do, especially now that he suspects there is a creature lurking somewhere in the darkness, waiting to devour him? Fortunately, he soon realises that the creature is friendly, so everything changes and, what’s more, they can help each other get back home. – Mariza Decastro, The Reader

"...Oliver Jeffers’ books always exude a sense of immediacy and calm; the narrative is simple and offers children many perspectives on a world that springs from their own imagination. They are tender, and their now instantly recognisable illustrations always charm us in the same way!..."

– Georgia Souvatzis, Debop

"Oliver Jeffers is a constant presence in the category of illustrated children’s books for very young children. *The Way Home* is a book about fear and the safest way to overcome it: companionship, opening up to others."

– Eleni Svoronou, The Editors’ Newspaper

"...a unique adventure! What child hasn’t dreamed of getting into a little plane and flying high, very high, higher and higher, all the way to the moon? Earthlings or aliens, we may all have our problems. And if we open our eyes and look around us, we’ll see that we’re not alone. The biggest problems aren’t solved by shouting and crying. They’re solved with calm, thought and cooperation. There’s always a solution!

– Christina Drouza, iefimerida.gr

"...a book that is a pleasure to read even for younger children (from 2 years old) and will become their constant companion throughout the day. Once again, Jeffers proves that he is one of the greatest contemporary storytellers and his books are a must-have for every child’s library!

"...In his simple, clever and humorous way, the author crafts yet another wonderful fairy tale and subtly suggests that friendship can blossom even in the most unlikely of places!"
