E.G. Aslanidis is a psychiatrist, a training analyst of the Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society (E.E.P.S.) and an author.
In the field of psychoanalysis, he established the first university department of psychodynamic psychotherapy (Aiginiteion, 1980). He was elected president of the Hellenic Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in 1989.
He has published poems and essays.
