President of the Executive Committee ‘NIKOLAOS E. VERNIKOS’ Tugs – Lifeboats, founded in Constantinople in the 19th century.
Chairman or member of the Board of Directors of the Vernikos Group’s Shipping and Commercial Companies.
Chairman of AHEPA, Piraeus Branch “THEMISTOCLES”.

In addition to his professional activities, he is involved in cultural and environmental issues. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society for the Environment & Culture, the European Cultural Centre of Delphi and the Society for the Creation of a New Building for the Greek National Opera & Academy ‘Maria Callas’.
