Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer

Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer is an award-winning Dutch author. He has published over 40 works: poetry collections, novels, short stories, plays and essays. His bestseller La Superba (2013) won the Libris Prize, awarded every five years by the Royal Academy of Belgium, and has been published in many countries. Pfeiffer studied at Leiden University, where he obtained his PhD in 1996 and worked as a researcher and lecturer in Ancient Greek until 2004. In 2008, he moved to the port of Genoa, where he has lived and worked ever since.
