Alexandros Kostopoulos

Alexandros Kostopoulos is the founder and managing director of the strategy and communications firm Foresight. He has worked with individuals and organisations from the political, academic and business worlds in the United States, Greece and South-Eastern Europe, designing targeted strategies and comprehensive programmes for reputation management, relationship building and influence enhancement.

He is an elected member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce, co-founder of the Institute for Regional Dialogue and Strategy, and representative of American Citizens Abroad in Greece.

He writes for leading Greek newspapers and has given talks on the importance of cooperation, public diplomacy, American affairs and entrepreneurship. He has published the books ‘Bridges of Cooperation – The Marshall Plan and Greece’ (2008) and ‘Bridges of Freedom – American Philhellenism in the 18th and 19th Centuries’ (2009).

In December 2011, he founded the public diplomacy organisation RepowerGreece in the United States, with the support of leading educational institutions, think tanks and businesses, with the aim of promoting and reinforcing new perceptions and countering the negative stereotypes that prevail regarding Greece within the international community.
