Sanaka Hiiragi

Sanaka Hiiragi was born in 1974 in Japan. She graduated from Kobe Women’s University with a degree in literature and completed her studies at Himeji University in Tokyo. She lived and worked abroad as a Japanese language teacher for seven years. Her first novel, 婚活島戦記 (The Battle of Marriage Island), was widely acclaimed and was nominated for the Japanese Konomys Mystery and Detective Fiction Award in 2012. Her second novel, Mr Hirasaka’s Magic Photo Studio, has been translated into 25 languages and is her first work to be published in Greek. She loves cameras and the art of the kimono.
