Karissa Chen
AuthorKarissa Chen was born in the US in 1982. She is a Fulbright, Kundiman Fiction and VONA/Voices fellow. She has written the short-form works *Meditations on My Name* (2018) and *Of Birds and
Lovers* (2013). Her writing and essays have appeared in The Atlantic, Eater, The Cut, NBC News THINK!, Longreads, PEN America, Catapult, Gulf Coast and Guernica, among others. Until recently, she was editor-in-chief at The Rumpus magazine, and she is currently editor-in-chief at Hyphen magazine. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and lives between New Jersey and Taipei, Taiwan. *A Country Between Us* is her first novel.
