The New York City Ballet is one of the world’s leading dance companies. Its unrivalled repertoire is performed by some of the world’s finest dancers. The company was founded in 1948 by George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirsten, and quickly became world-renowned for its athletic and contemporary style. In 1964, the New York City Ballet moved to its current premises at Lincoln Center, where it performs for twenty-one weeks each year.

Valeria Docampo

Valeria Docampo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she began painting with the desire to capture in her works the poetry of everyday things, such as children’s expressions and pets, the natural beauty of plants, the sound of autumn’s withered leaves, and the aroma of a freshly cooked breakfast.

She graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication and subsequently spent several years teaching at the University. Over the last five years, she has devoted herself to illustrating children’s books.
