"...It is the author’s fifth work, which is both poetic and narrative. It could also be described as a poetic monologue by a man in love addressed to his beloved, with the sole difference that such monologues are usually directed at an absent person, whereas here the beloved is present. At the same time, the poet’s monologue conveys to us a jumble of his experiences from every age, childhood, adolescence and adulthood, memories of many women—mother, grandmother and lovers, or fleeting romances—whilst he also attempts to come to terms with the figure of the father."
– Charikleia Dimakopoulou, Estia
"...If history is written by the victors, _Esena_ proclaims unequivocally that a love story is written by the vanquished, except that in the end, with the conclusion of the bed-struggle, we are all vanquished; passions are dulled, the anarchic order is channelled into straight lines, the coordinates of love give way to the conventional, and the natural environment prevails over the erotic."
– Eirini Giannaki, Neo Planodion"...Psaltis presents a collection of poetry with the hallmarks of an erotic drama, in which he reflects on love, moving the reader with his unconventional yet lyrical poetic voice. Erotic desire and sexual contact are displayed as works of art in the gallery of poetry, making them visible to all, in the emotions and senses within the multi-layered age-based human geography of the composition."
– Dimos Chloptsioudis, Tvxs.gr"...The composite poem with the characteristically dedicatory title To You is the chronicle of a love that is born and manifests itself unexpectedly, as a miracle, only to ultimately suffer the predetermined fate of all miracles, dissolving into the elements from which it was formed, leaving in its wake scattered, painful fragments of events and situations that have been abolished, destined to fall prey to a memory that is insatiable in any case."
– Kostas Papageorgiou, Avgi"...Poetry rich in meaning, with a rhythm that sweeps you away, penetrating the mind, the soul, the heart, and the body of the poet. It opens a secret door to the inner sanctum of the art of poetry, as the entire composition is crafted slowly and we secretly witness the whole process of writing, seeing before us the battle the poet wages with his demons and angels – fortunately, so far the outcome has been positive for him, and poetry has claimed yet another victory."
– Angeliki Lalou, Fractal Art"...Avoiding punctuation, so as not to interrupt the delirium, since words and images are expressed and recorded like a psychoanalytic process—a confession with a sense of urgency— Psaltis creates an undeniably torrential drama of emotions that pays little heed to metre or any conventional rules."
– Stefanos Tsitsopoulos, Athens Voice"...Love poetry, a dangerous poetic venture which Psaltis, however, masters without resorting to clichés. A poetic composition that is essentially unified, with a temporal axis of ‘action’ where physicality, pleasure, absence and abandonment, delight and pain highlight love as a central parameter of human existence. The balcony overlooking the sea, from which the poetic voice essentially surveys the erotic experience, is an incentive for a summer re-reading of this collection."
