Anastasia Balaska

Anastasia Balaska was born in a small village in Greece, where she was the only girl. In her efforts to overcome loneliness, she discovered the world of fairy tales. So from a very young age she learnt to use her imagination and create her own stories.

As she grew up, her imagination was buried beneath piles of schoolbooks and work commitments. She had to become a mum and start reading fairy tales again to begin weaving new worlds with her stories. Now she writes poems, songs and books for her son, and hopes that some of them might just spark your imagination too.

P.S. In another, parallel universe, Anastasia works in shipping and has a master’s degree in maritime law. She has been living in Oslo since 2016.
