Stamatia Laoumtzi

She studied Classical Literature at the University of Cyprus, where she went on to complete her postgraduate and doctoral studies in Modern Greek and Comparative Literature. Her research focuses on the work of C. P. Cavafy, folk song and editorial issues relating to Modern Greek literature. She has worked at the Cavafy Archive on a publishing programme concerning the publication of published and unpublished prose works (2000–2003) and the publication of the Dictionary of Quotations by C. P. Cavafy (2004–2014).

Her studies and articles on folk song, Erotokritos and C. P. Cavafy, Christodoulos Galatopoulos, Vasilis Michailidis, Kostas Montis, Emmanouil Roidis, Giorgos Seferis, Stratis Tsirkas and others have been published in journals and anthologies.
