Dimitrios Giatromanolakis

Demetrios Yatromanolakis (D.Phil., University of Oxford) specialized in the research fields of Ancient Greek Vase-Painting, Epigraphy, and Papyrology at the University of Oxford and Harvard University. Among many other international distinctions, including his tenure at the interdisciplinary Harvard Society of Fellows, he has been awarded the Berlin Prize. His books include: Epigraphy of Art, II: Inscriptions and Representations on Athenian Vases (ed., 2024), Archaic Ontological Past: Pre-Socratic Philosophy and European Avant-Garde Art and Thought (ed., 2022), Politics of Mythogenesis: Art and Thought in the European Avant-Garde (2020), Epigraphy of Art: Ancient Greek Vase-Inscriptions and Vase-Paintings (ed., Oxford 2016), Greek Mythologies (Cambridge, Mass. 2012), An Archaeology of Representations: Ancient Greek Vase-Painting and Contemporary Methodologies (ed., Athens 2009), and Sappho in the Making: The Early Reception (Cambridge, Mass. 2007).
