John P. Anton

Professor John P. Anton (Antonopoulos) was born in Canton, Ohio, to Greek parents and hails from Arcadia. He lived in Greece and completed his secondary education at the Dimitsana Gymnasium and the Tripoli Teachers’ Training College, where he was taught by E. P. Papanoutsos. He returned to America immediately after the war, served in the US Army and subsequently studied philosophy, literature and social sciences at Columbia University.
